Simon Kämpfer works across multiple disciplines form product, furniture and interior design as well as an art director and stylist.

Originally from Switzerland, he studied ceramic design in Bern before accomplishing his second degree at the Design Academy Eindhoven.

Before establishing himself as an independent designer in 2011, Kämpfer worked at Ilse Crawford’s Studioilse in London. Under Crawford’s direction, he was responsible for the design of award-winning lighting, furniture and homeware collections.

Since 2014 he has been working with De La Espada as art director and designer. He has been responsible for creating the highly praised De La Espada Look Books Volume 1 - 3, showcasing De La Espada's luxury solid wood furniture.

In 2019 he took on the role as the head of the newly created De La Espada Atelier, the in-house product design studio.

Kämpfer also works on his own projects and freelances for several renowned design studios and companies. Recent projects include, art direction and styling for the renowned British luxury brand Plain English, for their advertising campaign and London showroom.
