Bahn Mi 11 Elm Street
Design of Banh Mi 11’s - market kitchen.
The market kitchen is a small (24 m2), welcoming, personal and cosy place. The freshly made banh mi baguettes, salads, noodle soups and summer rolls can be enjoyed at the kitchen table, on one of the bar ledges or as take away.
The front counter features two fold up tables, providing additional four covers. Tap water is available from a brass bib tap for guests to help themselves.
The challenge was to create a space with a domestic and personal feel, on a minimal budget, that caters for all the operational requirements to serve fast, affordable and freshly cooked take away food.
Sadly the market kitchen is now closed.
Bep Haus
Design of Bep Haus - was the second venture of Van Tran & Anh Vu at Bow Lane 40 London.
The shop was split over two levels. At street level there was a open kitchen where the food is finished for take away customers. Coffee could be bought from a newly introduced sash window.
The basement provided a small seating area, open prep kitchen and storage.
Sadly Bep House is now closed.
